Our world is filled with colourful and glowy things. Through the hastags #FluorescenceFriday and #EverydayFluorescence I share some of this on Twitter. To the right here you can see the blue emission from quinine in tonic water, the yellow emission from curcumin in turmeric and vitamin B2 in beer. The red emission is from the chlorophyl in spinach and the brown dye from brown egg shells. Even kiwi shows some blue emission under UV-light.
